Le nombre d'utilisateurs délaissant les serveurs PC au profit d'un dispositif de stockage connecté au réseau (NAS) pour la sauvegarde de leurs fichiers numériques ne cesse d'augmenter, en raison des divers atouts de ce système, parmi lesquels une taille réduite, une facilité de déploiement et d'installation et une faible consommation d'énergie. Le Turbo NAS TS-210 de QNAP représente la solution de stockage à 2 baies la plus économique pour les nouveaux utilisateurs particuliers ou SOHO à la recherche d'un NAS aux fonctionnalités puissantes, d'un design élégant, d'une faible consommation d'énergie et d'une extrême fiabilité.
Doté d'un processeur Marvell 800 MHz et de 256 MB de mémoire RAM DDRII, la consommation électrique du Turbo NAS TS-210 en marche n'est que de 14 W, bien moins qu'un serveur PC. Des fonctionnalités de pointe sont également proposées, comme le service cible iSCSI intégré, le blocage des adresses IP non autorisées, un protocole SNMP (Protocole simple de gestion de réseau), la réplication à distance ainsi que deux caméras IP (achat en option) pour la surveillance en réseau.
Le Turbo NAS TS-210 n'est pas qu'un simple serveur de stockage parfait, c'est également une station multimédia qui vous permet d'optimiser votre centre multimédia privé. Le serveur multimédia UpnP/DLNA intégré (avec TwonkyMedia activé) du Turbo NAS prend en charge les consoles de jeux pour un service multimédia et fonctionne parfaitement avec les lecteurs multimédia numériques haute définition (HD) à système NFS. L'interface web AJAX permet de gérer les applications du Turbo NAS de manière plus intuitive.
